if the server moves them to a junk folder, outlook will not download
them - pop3 accounts only download from the server inbox.
For the most part, server side filtering is much better and more efficient
to handle the bulk of the spam.

set up through a webmail interface, would those emails already marked as
"spam" in the server be downloaded through POP3 ? or Outlook would
recognize them and let them stay in the server's webmail "Junk" folder?
