Outlook or Exchange Plug in for POP mail access

I've heard that MS once offered a plug in for either Exchange or Outlook that
allowed POP mail to be routed through an Exchange server which primarily runs
SMTP. I.E. Hotmail etc.
I know that I can access POP accounts via Outlook configuration but would
like to bring thrid party POP mail through the Exchange Server as to have
multiple layers of virus protection.
Has anyone ever heard of such a plug in for Exchange / Outlook???

Exchange can be used to access Internet mail and deposit people's mail into
their mailbox. Ask in an Exchange newsgroup for instructions or read the
Exchange documentation.
