when I open my outlook 2002. after about 10 seconds it opens a save box
asking me to save something as an HTML doc. I have blown out my profile and
also reinstalled outlook. I am on exchange. I also removed the preview pane.
but to no avail. I have looked on the Microsofts knowledge base to find out
nothing. why does this box open. its not a specific email thats causing it
because at first i had outlook open to a pst. then had it open to my
exchange mailbox. please help.

Are you sure it is trying to save a HTML document? I remember having to do the same thing
after setting up another user account on my computer. It asked me to find a location for the
Outlook Data files. If you know the location of your original data files, you can use that box
that is open just to point outlook to the correct files. Otherwise, you can just create new ones.
