Outlook on pocket pc

This concerns the workings between my Desktop Outlook (2002) and the Outlook
on my pocket PC (not sure of the nomenclature but it was included with
Microsoft PPC 2003 sold about three months ago so I'm guessing it's based on
either 2002 or the new 2003.

Anyway, for some reason, a few days ago, when my contacts folder synched, I
had two of all my contacts on the pocket pc. I deleted them but at some
subsequent sync they all came back. There are not two listing for each of
the contacts on the desktop and I'm unable to find any way to get rid of
them. I've also posted this on the Activesync group as I don't know whether
this is an Outlook or Activesync problem.

Any ideas, anyone?

My only thought was, if it's not a known bug with a fix, was to backup my
desktop contacts, delete them all and sync, thus removing them from the
pocket pc, then restore the original list on the desktop, resync and hope it
solves the problem. As I've heard of more than one backup/restore failing,
I'd rather not do this if I don't absolutely have to.

Thanks

I've only ever seen this happen when you have made a
change to the contact in your Outlook and your Pockt PC.

Best thing to do is to open up ActiveSync, click on
options, select rules and in the section about conflicts,
choose to either overwrite the desktop or the device
