Outlook on client computer of wireless network

I recently bought a laptop, and set up a wireless network in my home. My desktop is the host computer, and connects to the internet via a 56K dial-up modem. My laptop is the client computer. Both machines have Windows XP, Outlook 2002, and a wireless network adapter (no router or hub required). I can share files no problem, and can access the internet on both computers, through the connection on the desktop. But how can I set up Outlook on my laptop to see the emails (and email folders) that are on my desktop?
