Outlook on a home network

I have Outlook 2003 and a home network. Currently its installed on one PC as
a single-user app.

I know MS advice not to open Outlook.pst from a mapped drive. So if I want
to make it accessible from more than one PC what's the route? Can I avoid
installing Exchange 2003? (I have it but as yet unopened)

Thanks Bill. That link has all the info I need.
I'll check out Exchange as I need to access email from network PCs.
