Outlook moved entire inbox to "personal folders"

I connect from home to my work e-mail via a vpn. All of my mail folders are
showing up in Outlook under the section "Mailbox - Lanie Carter". This is
the way that my outlook displays at the office. For some reason my incoming
and outgoing mail from home has been routed to a different mailbox, which
falls under "personal folders" The e-mail coming and going from home will
not be sent/received until I hit the "send/receive button" Furthermore, when
I check my e-mail via the web client, my inbox appears to be empty. I'm
afraid that this "personal folders" section has messed up my inbox somehow.
Can I change how my incoming/outgoing mail is routed when I connect to
outlook through a VPN?

Assuming you are using Outlook 2002/2003 at home, select Tools > Email
Accounts > View/Change existing accounts. There is a dropdown at the bottom
to specify the delivery location. Set that to "Mailbox - Lanie Carter". OK
out and restart Outlook.

PS - you will need to do this while connected to work via VPN.
