Outlook Logon using RPC/HTTPS

Hi

I've recently migrated a division of my company to their own Exchange server
and they use RPC/HTTPS to connect. Previously when they were on the mail
Exchange server once they logged in once successfully they were never
prompted to enter their USERNAME during logon - just their password. The
username was rememberd by Outlook.

Now on this new server I have to type in their username in the format
'domain\username' ie 'abc.int\fredbloggs'

This is causing concern for our users and I've no idea why they are now
being asked for this....

can any of you guys help?

If your site is using basic authentication, then this is expected behavior.

But I have to use BASIC authentication for it to work.
My issue is that my users now have to type in a username where before they
didn't need to do it. On the mail email server they were onlt prompted for
Password with the username already filled in for them.

Only workaround I can think of is to store the userid/password via the User
Accounts applet in the control panel.
