Outlook leaving messages in outbox

My machine just started leaving my outgoing message in my outbox. Even
though I reopen the message from the outbox, it doesn't go out (most of the
time). Every now and then it will. It seems to read messages fine.

I know the outbound smtp server is working as I can bring up Eudora and it
works perfectly.

Someone else at work here has a similar problem. Sometimes 3 or 4 messages
will stay in his outbox and as soon as he hits the outbox in the folder
list, they take off.

What could be causing the problem? We have exchange at work - where the
other persons machine is - and I am using the SMTP server from my ISP at
home. So it isn't the same server.

check your account settings.
Add and remove the account
scan for viruses
Run scanpst.exe on your PST file and correct any errors.
Ensure you are online when sending messages.

I did that, and it still had problems. No viruses. I then made some
changes to my Domain and it had me recreate my Outlook settings, so this
problem is now a moot point.
