Outlook keeps resetting and not using word as editor

Hello,

I am having an issue trying to get Outlook to use Word as the editor. When
I check the box it will work until Outlook is restarted than it does not use
Word and the checkbox for use word as editor is unchecked again. I am
running Windows XP tablet edition and Office 2003 Professional.

Please I would appreciate any help, I have Googled this topic till my eyes
have gotten sore with no result.

Is this in a home environment or at work? If at work, the admin may have
disabled word using a policy.
