Outlook 2003

I noticed the tray icon had changed, and hovered over it. It said "Oulook
is sync'ing folders"?

What does that mean?

Thanks.
Ken

In Outlook 2003, you can run in Exchange Cached Mode. Basically this means
OUtlook keeps a local copy of your mailbox on your machine, and runs out of
it constantly. If you get the message about synchronizing folders, then
Outlook has checked for new mail, or just been started up, and is now
updating your local copy of the mailbox.
