Outlook is not responding.

Outlook is freezing immediately after I launch it. It used to let me look at
something before it froze, but it seems to be getting worse.
About a week ago, my laptop mouse pad stopped responding when I was using
Outlook (so I bought an external one). Now this.
Can anyone help? I tried a virus scan but none were found.
Thanks.

Reset the Toolbar; all Toolbar customizations will be lost and the Toolbar
will reset to what it looked like when you first installed Outlook. To do
this locate outcmd.dat and rename it to outcmd.old when Outlook is closed.
By default you can find it here;
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

When the outcmd.dat file has become corrupted Outlook can't build the
Toolbar and will hang.

Have you tried an OL repair, from the cd or starting OL in safe mode.
Though if yr mousepad stopped working it may be an indication of hw/driver
problem
