i recently upgraded from Outlook XP to outlook 2003. when i exit from outlook
the icon remains in the tray on the bottom right. when i click on it to
reopen outlook i get a message "outlook is not responding. if you are using
an exchange server e-mail account you can cancel pending server requests
........" and outlook refuses to start. i have to uset the task manager to
close the OUTLOOK task and start it again. i do not use an exchange server. i
cant figure out how to change whatever setting is creating this problem ....
thank you in advance ...

are you using any applications that sync with outlook data? if so, close
them before closing outlook.
