on some messages that I receive outlook says it is blocking the attachment
because it could be unsafe. I need these attachments from this address but
do not know how to get outlook to let them come through.

Can you give me some instruction on this?

If you find out, let ME know. All I know is one of the security update
FORCES a deletion of certain file types - including MDB (Access Data Bases) -
which really complicates MY life! While one can edit the list somewhat, Bill
Gates & co. apparently have decided for the rest of us that we're too stupid
to be allowed to send certain types of files to ourselves.

The oly workaround I can think of is to use something besides Outlook.

Sue, I need a little more information. I have downloaded something that is
to help with this but so far it is not working. Will it only work on new
ones or will it work as well on messages I have already recieved that have
been blocked.

It is a small program to move blocked files from level one to level two so
they can be saved.

What did you download, what did you do with it, and what isn't working? Attachment blocking in recent levels of Outlook is controlled by a simple registry entry, as the page I suggested explains. One you unblock a particular type of file and restart Outlook, that setting applies to all items in your Outlook folders.
