Outlook inbox

I have an annoying problem with Outlook 2003. When ever I open it it says
I have a new message. On the left I see the Inbox in bold with a 1 next to
it but all my messages are read! What is wrong here?

Restted your view already to make sure now filter is applied? Otherwise
rightclick the folder and choose MArk All As Unread
