Outlook hangs when forwarding

im having a problem with outlook 2003 which seems to be a common problem,
whenever i try to reply to an email in html format using word 2003 as my
default email editor outlook will hang for about 2 miutes
 
ive tried renaming the normal.dot file to normalold.dot but that has not
worked, ive also tried disabling outlook add-ins, still no joy.

please help :)
