Outlook hangs up when attaching files from network drive

I have several users who have recently developed a
problem attaching files from mapped network drives. Once
the browse window opens, they can browse around...but
then it hangs up. This is becoming more and more
common. The users are using Outlook 2000 (from Office
Premium) with exchange 5.5 in Win2K Pro. Also, we have
Norton AV Corporate. Any ideas are welcome.
