Outlook functions not enabled in Oracle environment

My Outlook 2002 opens into calendar view and my taskpad is revealed. My
usually setting for the taskpad is 'active tasks for selected days' but since
we have started working in an Oracle environment, this is no longer working
and the taskpad is static with the same tasks appearing regardless of the
start date I set. Also, assign tasks and recurring task buttons are not
enabled. They are greyed out. Is there anything I can do about this? Thank
you.

How are you getting the oracle data into outlook? Does the application
support recurrence and assigning tasks?

I'm not sure. It's out of my league from an IT point of view. I've worked in other orgs and Oracle has not stopped my taskpad from working or being able to make recurring tasks and so on. Is there something I can suggest to our IT people?
