Outlook from Access

Hello,
we are calling outlook from access via create object.
This works fine if outlook is already started.
If it is not started it will be starte by our create
object but if want to send a second mail we cannot use a
create object. We get an error.
There still is a outlook prozess in the process list but
there is no outlook visible on desktop.

How we can close outlook fully that no outlook process is
hanging?

Or is there an other solution?

set it to Nothing, e.g AppOL = Nothing

we already do this.
but there is still a running process in task list.
the proces did not exit.
we do not know why.
