Outlook Freezes Intermittently

While reading or composing a message, Outlook seem to freeze for about 1/2
minute when a new email message arrives. Used Exmon to monitor the client's
activity and CPU usage is normally below 20%. No search tool installed on
the desktop. The items in the Inbox is below 100. The problem started a few
days ago. Any idea on how I can identify the problem?

Outlook version is 2003 (11.6359). It's Microsoft Exchange Server account
and we're running Exchange 2003 Enterprise edition on our servers.
 
Do you have antivirus and/or similar applications running that might be
checking the mail on the client? Is this specific to one client only?
