Outlook Forms

Hi.

I have downloaded the Outlook Helpdesk Form

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...34-8DB7-48B6-B913-C6C1BAF0C97D&displaylang=EN

I wanted to have all the fields exported to Access. However when I look at
the Custom Map Field, when exporting I dont get all the fields I want.

Specfically the ticket details which get send to the desktop support person.

ie: Status, Prority and Problem Type.

Also the ticket numbering doesnt seem to work.

Does anyone use a ticketing system like this? Perhaps found a better one?

I could use some help.

Thanks!

Outlook doesn't support exporting custom fields. Quick and dirty method:

1. Put all the items from your form in one folder.
2. Use a table view to display all the data fields that you want to export to Excel.
3. Choose Edit | Select All.
4. Choose Edit | Copy.
5. Paste to Excel.

Otherwise, you'd have to write custom code or use a third-party application. See http://www.outlookcode.com/d/customimport.htm .

Thanks for your help. Where would "table view" be found in Outlook 2003.?

I searched in help and couldnt find it.

It doesnt seem to be under the "tool" heading....

Uh, did you look on the View menu? View | Arrange By | Current View | Define Views

Yes I eventually found that and added the extra fields. Thanks!

Still when I export to access I only get the default fields.
