Outlook folder error

After upgrading from Outlook 2000 to 2002, I now receive the following error
message when opening Outlook.

'The data file "Personal Folders" was not closed properly. The file is
being checked for problems.'

The process takes about 2 minutes and you have to wait on it to use Outlook.

Any help is appreciated.
