Outlook filter question

I synchronise my ipaq with my outlook, however i don't
want my personal diary entries to be visible on outlook
on my PC.

I have entered 'personal' as the category for all
personal items but when i synchronize these items are
still showing in outlook.

I tried to filter out personal items under customise
view, however the default for all other entries in
outlook is with a null value in the category field.
Therefore can't work out how to set the filter so that it
allows all items with a null value in this field to be
visible.

Have you tried using the Personal button (not category) which is in the
bottom right corner of each Appointment?

Thanks for that, Yes, i have used this as a temporary
measure. The 'private' button allows appointments not to
be visible to others when opening your calendar, however
they can still see a block of time allocated which i want
to avoid.
