I have Microsoft Outlook 2003 Professional Edition. I just exchanged
my old laptop for this new one at my school. I imported my account
settings, but for some reason it errors on 'send/receive'. The email
account settings are identical to what they were before (I also have a
desktop that is working with the same settings). When I press
'send/receive', I get an immediate error... "Task 'Cox - Receiving'
reported error (0x8004010F) : 'The operation failed. An object could
not be found." The odd thing is, when I go into email account
settings, and press the 'test settings' button, it all comes back
positive. So I am confident the settings are correct since I am
connecting to the server and sending the test email, but something in
the file structure must be corrupt since I am unable to do the send and
receive. I already tried reinstalling office once, and the same
settings were still there. Any ideas? I'm thinking possibly
uninstalling office again and deleting all files associated with it to
get rid of any lingering errors... though I wouldn't know exactly what
to delete. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot!!!
