When I opened it my address book was gone. I can go to tools and bring it
up, but it is no longer on the main page. Is there a way to fix this.?

By that, do you mean it's no longer on the Toolbar ? Assuming that's the
case, two solutions:

-If there is a >> on the right end of Toolbar, click on it to unhide icons
to the right.

-Right-click anywhere on the Toolbar, then click on "Customize...". This
will allow addition of the Address book if not already added OR moving into
being always visible.
