Outlook Express

Outlook Express automatically backs up (replaces the data
on disk as though you closed it) when it is open and when
it is minimized. This is great since I leave it minimized
to capture my 400+ emails each day.

I also use a non microsoft organizer which I would like
to keep minimized, but if power goes so does the current
updates. Is there any progam in XP to do what it is doing
for OE?

Or do younknow any commercial programs or organizers with
this capability?

OE keeps your data up-to-date while you're using the application, Terry, but
it doesn't back up anything. You must create your own back ups:
