Outlook express

I recently loaded WinXp to a new hard drive I was able to
get all the data that I wanted from the old drive running
WinME except outlook express. I do have outlook express
running on my new system, however I would like my address
book and the emails that I saved from the old drive. I
have copied and pasted from the old drive running it as a
slave but nothing works. Does anyone know what to do.

For help with your OE questions, try an OE newsgroup such as

microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress (for OE 6), or

an OE help website such as http://insideOE.tomsterdam.com. If you're

accessing the Microsoft newsgroups through the MS Product Support

Services "Community Newsgroups" web interface, click

http://communities.microsoft.com/newsgroups/default.asp?icp=InternetExplorer

to get to the Internet Explorer groups, then click the plus sign next to

your version of IE to see the link to the Outlook Express group for that

George, your address book can be found by searching for *.wab and your email
folders are *.dbx files. These are system files so make sure you check the
box to search for both hidden and system files. After you find then, in OE
just click File, Import, address book and point to the file. Same for the
folders, click File, Import and then Messages.
