Spell check unavailable with my new computer Windows XP.
Is there a way to fix this. I loved it on my Windows 98
and am lost without it....Why does it not work...no error
messages...just doesn't allow me to click on it...HELP!!!

Hi!Judy!
Spell check is in OE:-
Open OE > Tools >Options >Select the Spelling tab, and select the option
to "Always check spelling before sending" > ok . This will have Outlook
Express run a spell check on your email before it is sent.

Hi!Judi!
Have you checked it in your Office suit[like Word].It's a part of that.

Neither Windows XP, nor any other version of Windows, has ever
come with a Spell Checking facility. Outlook Express uses the
spell checker that comes with Microsoft Word, (or another
Microsoft Office program) if you have it installed.

If you don't have Word or Office installed, you probably don't
have a spell checker. However there are several downloadable
freeware/shareware alternative spell checkers that work with
Outlook Express and Outlook. Since I have no personal experience
with any of these, I'll let someone else recommend one.

On the other hand, if a Microsoft Office component *is*
installed, try the instructions at

Would that be a two-piece or a three-piece suit? Does it come with an extra
pair of trousers?
