Outlook Express

Using Win 2000, Outlook Express 6, my email attachments
can not be opened.

The 'paper clip' displays. When I double click on the
paper clip the attachment files are greyed out and are not
accessible.

Any suggestions?

Go to Tools\Options\Security\Virus Protection| and take
off the check mark against "do not allow attachments
etc." Then Apply. Remember this is a security proviso
so only do this when you need to open the attachment and
you are sure who it is from. Don't forget to use "Apply"
every time you change this. After you have your
attachment opened, go back and change to the "do not"
setting again and them "Apply".
