This is a re-ask as the previous thread seems to have died without a
resolution.

Running XP Home and Outlook Express. New Toshiba notebook.

I want to import my address book from my desktop and locate it where I can
easily back it up (as on the D drive). I was given a reference to an article
on "backup" which described how to do it. It involves locating the .WAB file
where you want it and then editing the registry to point to it. This method
works on Win 2000 Pro based machines (the desktop). It does not seem to work
on the XP based notebook.

Am I doing something wrong? Anybody have suggestions?

Go to Tools/Options/Maintenance and change the Store Folder location.
