I have outlook on my computer and I seem to have an issue that when I try and
do anything it comes up with an error and the software closes down.

This has just happened. I have tried to re-install it completley from
scratch with out success , checked for viruses (non on the system) and tried
other various things.

Can anyone assist with this enquirey.

Thanks

M Scott

Is this Outlook Express (which is part of Internet Explorer) or Microsoft
Outlook which is part of Microsoft Office?

This is part of microsoft office

Since there is an error which shuts down Outlook, and likely the error is
the key to the problem - what does the error say?

Thank you very much for trying to help me.

When you click to try and do anything it brings up the standard microsoft
office box

that says

Microsoft has encountered a problem and needs to close. we are sorry for
any inconvience.

If you were in the middle of doing something the information you were
working on might be lost.

I have click on tell microsoft this morning and it comes
up with a box saying

Problem caused by microsoft office 2000 consider upgrading. ( good sales
technique)

It then says underneath.

Your computer experienced a problem that caused Microsoft Office to crash.

The product which was created by Microsoft Corporation, entered its
"extended support" phase on the 1st July 04- For ore information about
microsoft corporation support cycles see the more information section below.

It then says recommendations

Consider upgrading to the latest version or

go online to the office update website to ensure that your computer has the
latest updates to Microsoft office..
