Can anyone help me with this problem that I have just started to get.I can
open outlook express and everything is working except when I go into my
deleted box it seems to freeze.I have 28 messages there which I am trying to
delete but nothing seems to happen. I have to go into Windows task manager
then it says deleted box is not responding.
I then have to come out of outlook express then restart it.
Thank-you for any help on this.

Open Outlook Express and from the Toolbar select:
File > Folder > Compact all folders. Afterward,
try deleting the messages again.

Deleted Items is probably corrupt.
In OE go to Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store Folder and write down
where OE is storing it's data.
Close OE.
Open Windows Explorer.
Click Tools | Folder Options | View | Show hidden files and folders.
Navigate to OE's store folder.
Move (not copy) Deleted Items.dbx to an empty Windows folder.
Get DBXtract or DBXpress (www.oehelp.com) and use it to extract the messages
from Deleted Items.dbx
Open OE. There will be a new, empty Deleted Items.
Drag the extracted messages from the Windows folder back to a folder in OE's
Folder List.

Thank-you again for your help.
