Hey Techies,
I have a strange issue. The original email POP3 account
for a client was set up in Outlook Express on an older
workstation 98 OS. When I set up the new computer XP OS I
set up her POP3 account in Outlook 2003. I tested all the
configurations and everything tested positive. I then
sent a test message from an outside account and the
Outlook 2003 received it. However, as soon as I left the
office the client called and said that she continues to
receive her emails on her Outlook Express on her old
computer and they do not come to the new Outlook on the
new workstation. Hummmmm?
I also made sure that the Outlook Express would not
remove the emails from the server. I requested that she
shut down the old machine to the allow the new Outlook to
retrieve the emails coming in. She did this and tested
it and no emails were forth coming to her machine.
However, when she rebooted the old machine the test
emails were discovered in her Outlook Express.
Very strange.
Anybody ever have this issue before and if so do you have
a resolution? Please help. These clients are very
demanding and want jobs done in Superman speed without
issues. They obviously are not "computer literate".
