Outlook Express Not Responding

When I try to launch Outlook Express, the Email window
comes up, but the connection doesn't work the first time.
Ctrl+Alt+Del indicates that Outlook Express is not
responding. I select End Task, which closes everything.
The next time I launch Outlook Express, it works. What is
going on? I just recently downloaded 6.0 and the latest
security updates.
