outlook express newsreader

I used the newreader to download alt.binaries files it use working just fine,
then it started not to save them as attachment so I could save them. I
combine and decode them and everything seem ok then the window pop up and I
get text in the lower window, didn't change any setting and it happen on both
computers (98se/xp)and the xp one did it the first time I used it.

So one please help me b4 I shoot the dam thing

Can't help on your problem but I would like to mention mine in event someone
also sees it and can help you and I.

I use XP and have a couple alt.binaries. They are pics and use to open
immediately. Now they have slowed down. I can't find anything that is doing
it. I even turned off my Antivirus thinking it was scanning them and slowing
it down. I have cable modem and it is as if I am using dial-up. Would like
to get it back up to speed as it use to be.

Maybe my ISP has done something to cause this?

You know my dsl went down for about 1hr call them and of couse nothing wrong
with the network, can back up and that when it started to happen (downloading
mp3) and one for the puter never been seen outlook express till now and it is
doing the samething.
