brand new computer - and can't figure out how to get the
OE icon on the quick launch - used to have it on old

500 pages of this newsgroup before sending this.

Mouse over quicklaunch toolbar>right click>open folder>right click>new>shortcut>browse>my computer>click on X where X is your hard drive,ie local disk>program files>outlook express>click on msimn>click ok>click next>click finish. Now you have OE in quicklaunch

Click Start, All Programs, find OE and select it with the right mouse
button, hold it down and drag it to the Quick Launch area. When you let go
of the button you will be give a choice to copy or move.

Thanks for help ! This is a great forum - my first time
here. I posted my problem and within 10 minutes had a
solution from two people. I will certainly turn to this
site in the future, instead of giving this 'old' brain
such frustration. Again, thanks a million - I've now got
my OE icon back where it belongs.

Hi

Try this:

Right click on the QLB and select 'Open Folder'. Then
right click and select New>Shortcut - in the 1st box type
the following - where C is your system drive:

open explorer
expand programs
right click Outlook Express
click send to
click desktop(create shortcut)
close explorer
from the desktop-drag the OE shortcut to the quick launch bar

Find the entry for it on the start - All Programs menu system and
r-drag it from that menu entry to the desktop, taking 'Copy here'. Then
drag it from there into the Quick Launch bar
