Outlook Express Font changes

I have tried to change the font when I open the new message window to send
an E mail,but when I start typing a message it always goes back to the font
that I dont want.I can change it manually,but next time it goes back
again.How can I make it stay.I've tried everything.Help

are you using the FONT bar at the top of the data entry entry window.

check under Tools Compose tab for permanent font settings.

but even they will be over ridden if you have the option checked to reply in format of send.

you need to be sure and change the font for both mail and news under the compose tab.
