Outlook eXpress error when exporting messages

Hi

I can not export from Outlook Express and get this
message (second part)
"an error occurred while initializing MAPI".

I looked on the MS Outlook Express Support Centre and the
fix (changing the default MAPI) did not work.

Any help would be appreciated as I have 2 years of emails
to backup

You might want to mention where you are exporting to.

Then ask in an Outlook Express forum. This is an Microsoft Office Outlook
forum.

Outlook Express is family of Internet Explorer and Outlook of the Office
family.

Outlook Express's File>Export>Messages is not a backup device for Outlook
Express mail. It is a method of transferring Outlook Express messages to
Office's Outlook or to Exchange.

For information on backing up Outlook Express, ask in an Outlook Express
newsgroup and read http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/
