Outlook Express Blocking attachments I created

Hi

Wonder if anyone can help.

I have created a spreadsheet and a word document,
however, when I sent it MS Outlook Express blocked the
attachments but sent the message.

Its very important that the attachments get sent as they
are quotations for a customer.

What settings do I change for MS Outlook to allow these
attachments and future attachments to be sent?

Please can someone help me.

Thanks and in anticipation.

As I recall, YOU as the sender only get *warned* regarding the
potentially executable/runnable attachments and that the recipient may
not get it. It is the RECIPIENT'S choice as to how they configure their
e-mail client as to whether or not it will block potentially hazardous
attachments. You'll need to send an e-mail to your recipient telling
them to reduce security.

Of course, you could rename the file's extension so it no longer looks
like an executable file, like changing .exe to .exx, which means it
won't be executable by default at the recipient's end and they will have
to rename the extension back to its proper name. Regardless of renaming
the extension, zipping up the file, or whatever, you don't get a choice
how the recipient handles attachments.

The problem is on their end. If they have a webmail interface to their
mailbox, have them use that to get your message and attachment until
they figure out how to configure their e-mail client to accept your
message and its attachment.
