Outlook Express Attachments

I have attachments, however, when I click on the
paperclip the attachment is listed but I can't open it!
Is there a setting I can change?

Please check the group to which you are posting. This is a group that
supports Outlook from Microsoft Office suite. Outlook Express is a part of
Internet Explorer and has no relationship to Outlook.

Having said that, Tools->Options->Security.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
