Outlook Express and indents

Outlook Express 6 used to let me forward messages without the > indent up
until last week when it started putting them in again for some reason. I
checked to make sure the indent original message in reply was unticked yet
it still adds the indent! I am using Western European (Windows) as my
default encoding.
Does anyone know how to cure this?

Are the forwarded messages Plain Text or HTML?
