outlook express address book

When switching my address book between wab and csv file
extensions (in order to back-up with wab, print out with
csv), I have discovered that far from being the same
address book , they are in fact quite different versions.
I want only one version, namely the one with the csv file
extension, but can't discover how to delete the wab one
(in the hope that once deleted, when I switch back and
forth between file extensions, it will be the same
address book each time).
Grateful for help!

Don't "switch back and forth".
