COPY/PASTE from one of my previous posts:

Open your Outlook Express and go to Tools/Options/Security.
Next thing is to uncheck option "DO NOT ALLOW ATTACHMENTS TO BE SAVED OR
OPENED THAT COULD POTENTIALLY BE A VIRUS"

That should solve your problem... in case that option is also grayed-out
(disabled) and you can not uncheck it, let me know, and I'll tell you
exactly what you have to do to fix that too...
 
Can someone please tell me why I cannot recieve any
attachemnts on outlook express. All i have done lately is
install office xp, but made sure i didnt install outlook
xp. so i can recieve email but not attachements.
