Outlook Express 6 Attachments

I received a .wps file extension attachment which is MS Works. It will not
open so I added the .wps filter for MS Word. I created the file assoication
in control panel for MS WORD and .wps files.
Outlook Express still will not open the file however I can save the
attachment and double clik on it with Windows Explorer and MS word will open
the file. I rebooted thinking the change was not really registered and still
cannot open the attachment in OUtlook Express 6.

family.
