Outlook error message "0x8004010F". Unable to get connection.

ould somebody please help? Suddenly I have lost the ability to send/receive
emails through Outlook. I am still able to send and receive emails through
the Web or using Outlook Express. But no longer through Outlook whichis my
primary email programme. I get the message "The operation failed. an object
could not be found." Error "0x8004010F" This is both for send and receive.

I have two email addresses on this account and up till now when I set out to
click on to Outlook I was asked to choose one or the other. Now this is not
the case any more. The main identity comes up immedeately, with the
previously received /sent/deleted emails stored and still in place, but there
is no movement anywhere. I cannot receive or send emails, nor can I move to
the second identity.

Could anybody please help?

Hi Chuck,

My version is Outlook 2003.

Since posting the requjest for help I have managed to move forward a bit,
but help is still needed.

By getting into "Control Panel - Mail - Prompt for Profile to be Used -
Create New Acccounts" I have managed to get both my primary and secondsary
email accounts back on line, so that they seem to be functional (I haven't
uploaded yet, but it seems okay.)

By creating new accounts, sitting isde by side with the old ones., I have
managed to get myself back on line. However the original accounts, though I
can access the saved sent and received emails, remain frozen, in that they
do not send or receive and come up with the same errofrmessage and number as
quoted before.

The original account/identity (Gabriel) does not send or receive, the new
iaccount/dentity (Gabriel 1) sneds and receives as from now. Is there
anything I can do to re-unite the two halves, or any other suggerstions?
