Outlook email attachments

When attaching files to an email. The attachment shows as
an icon in the body of the text rather then in the pop up
window between Cc: and subject. I have tried to find a way
to change this but cannot seem to find a way. Any help?

This is where Outlook will place them if the message is in Rich Text format.
HTML and Plain Text format message put them in a separate field in the
message Window.
