Outlook Doesn't Learn

I have Outlook 2002 and have started to notice that Outlook will not
suggest the name of an e-mail address that I have sent in the past (30
minutes ago). It will suggest a name but it won't be the one I am
looking for. It is almost like Outlook is not learning the e-mail
addresses as I typed them in past e-mails.

And it is not like it gives me a misspelt name or e-mail address. It
is just flat out not there and it gives me a different one that looks
"similar".

Anyone have any ideas?

I think I figured it out. Does it have to do with the display name?
When I changed the display name on some of the contacts, it was
resolving to the display name (the field under "e-mail" in the contact.
