Outlook Distribution List won't update

Using Outlook 2003. I deleted contacts, then opened a distribution list and
clicked Update but it did not remove the deleted contacts. This worked
previously until I reloaded Outlook on my new computer.

Suggestions appreciated!

Unfortunately, the Update button doesn't work reliably. Simply delete the
individual members.

Too bad, it's always been helpful! Thanks for your input!

Same for me: I have to remove each outdated e-mail and then select the member
(with the up-to-date address) afresh. Alas!
