Outlook disappears when minimised

Hi

On a wim xp machine when outlook 2003 is minimizes, it disappears i.e. it
does not show on the task bar and it has to be re-run from desktop shortcut.
What is the problem and how can I fix it?

It minimizes to a tray icon in the system notification area of the
Windows taskbar. If you don't see it there, check the customizations.
Maybe you previously elected to hide that tray icon.

Hi John,

It's hiding not disappearing. You can restore outlook by clicking the
Outlook icon on the tray (bottom right).

To avoid this from happening again, right click on the icon on that tray,
not on the taskbar, then unclick "hide when minimized".
