Outlook Delevers Same Mail over and over

I had outlook 2000 and I could keep mail on the server and if I had the mail
in my inbox it would not pull it from the server again now that I have
installed 2003 I get the same mail every time I click the send or receive
button. Any Ideas of what I need to do?

Sounds like you're having a problem with Outlook downloading mail & sending
the "all clear!" message to the server indicating it's finished - so it
thinks this is new mail. Do you have a large message in your inbox on the
server, perhaps? Connectivity problems?

Are you fully patched? The Windows Update page has a link to Office Family
where you can run an update check & patch anything that needs it (and of
course, you also need to be up to date with Windows updates, as well).
 
Do you have any AV scanning your incoming/outgoing mail? If yes, try
disabling it and see if the problem stops. You may have to uninstall and
reinstall your AV/Firewall and select a custom installation and not install
the mail scanning element.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, Josh asked:
